I think I have some Sloe bushes growing on a bankside near me, not sure though so have taken some pictures, any help identifying them?

Ooh lovely! Sloe gin for Christmas! Trouble is, if you start on it while cooking lunch you end up with Turkey and custard; and mince pies and mashed carrots!

What a wonderful colour, especially the middle picture. They are certainly sloes. I made sloe gin in 2008 when I found some well away from a road. Recipes on the internet.
