My husband would love to own this Camellia. Wisley seems to have been the only place selling it in the UK but they no longer have it.
Is there the remotest chance someone here has it, please?

You can still buy plants from member countries of the EU for now if you can find a supplier.
Caerhays Castle mention buying it from a French nursery last year (see thediary.caerhays.co.uk/may/12th-may/). You could contact them to see where they bought it.

I'll certainly contact them, Andrew. Thank you. Caerhays Gardens are beautiful. We actually met the owner while we were walking round the place and he talked to us for a while! Pity we didn't know about the camellia then.

Eirlys - it's nearly twenty years since I visited. I was on a Cornish Garden holiday one spring, and we went there on a Sunday morning. It wan't open on Sundays back then, and we had a guided tour from the Head Gardener.

Andrew: Stervinou supplied Betty's Beauty. They have a nice website and I contacted them regarding delivery. It's 15 Euros to send one plant.
Now I have to find out if there are restrictions/payments for "importing" a plant.

I sent an email to ask about this, Andrew, and received a very speedy reply:
QUOTE: There is free movement of most plants between countries within the European Union as long as they are grown in the EU, are free from pests and diseases and are for your own use. UNQUOTE
So now I now! And THANK YOU again for the above information.

You could try contacting Burncoose Nursery in Cornwall. They have a large range of camellias and may be able to source one for you.
