Has anybody grown Digitalis Grandiflora or
yellow foxglove? They're supposed to be perennials, I just wonder how long lived they really are?

Digitalis grandiflora here is definitely biennial. In some gardens it will survive for longer. The yellow Digitalis lutea is perennial even for us.

Thanks Owdboggy, I bought it as a 'perennial' digitalis grandiflora but I think it's a biennal grandiflora. Blimming labels, but they were lovely and I will collect seed this year. Hopefully there'll be some selfsown babies.

Biennial for me too though I did deadhead before it could set seed one year but that horrendous winter put paid to it.
I agree about D lutea, a slim plant with good deep green foliage. I have it in moderate shade in poor soil.

Yes biennial. I haven't been successful with seeding but will try harder!

No selfsown babies by the looks of it unfortunately but thanks Sbg and Rm, will try seeding.
