I wrapped my condolyne for winter . I must have done something wrong as the first 6 inches of all the leaves have died and split . Can I trim the ends ???

You could cut the leaves at an angle, to make the cuts less conspicuous. Eventually, enough new leaves will grow to dispense with the burnt ones entirely.

Having heard the weather forecast this morning, high winds are forecast over the weekend, so if your plant is now open to the elements, maybe wait to trim it back till after the wind as died down - wind can cause fraying and damage to the leaf tips too, so if you cut them now, you may find more damage after this weekend...

I think you might mean Cordyline - if you wrap them for winter, they should be unwrapped whenever there's a mild spell during the winter, and rewrapped as it gets colder again. You can trim the tips of the leaves, it won't kill it, but they will always have blunt edges where you've cut them.-
