Good morning
I have a 2 year old MELIANTHUS MAJOR which didn't die down this winter. It is now 5 ft tall and very straggly but is sending out many healthy plants at different points of the stem. How can I separate the new babies and propogate each one from the stem.
I hope I have made myself clear.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

In warmer climates, Melianthus major is a large shrub, but it doesn't look like you have room to let that happen. I would simply chop it back to stumps, as the frost would normally have done last winter. You could take cuttings first, though others have more experience with that than I do.
