I put my sago palm out 2 weeks ago. Now the colour of the leaves have changed. It was very green before anyone have any ideas please.
Thanks

Cammomile's right - the whitened leaves indicate cold shock. You need to only leave it out for a couple of hours during the middle of the day, extending the hours over a period of a week or two, till its got used to being outdoors again.

Thank you very much for your advice. I just put it straight outside so would agree it might be shock, should I cut the leaves off? I only thought the leaves grew so didnt think it needed a larger pot.
Thank you for your advice

No, don't cut the leaves off. If and when they turn completely brown, then remove them, but there might still be some ability for photosynthesis within them at the moment, hopefully.
The reason it might need a bigger pot isn't to do with whether it flowers or not, its to do with whether the roots are cramped. It may not yet need a new pot, but the way to check is to turn it out of its pot and have a look when it starts to look a bit top heavy, that is, the amount of foliage makes the pot look very small. If its got roots wrapped round and round and round and its a solid, dense, rootball, it needs potting on into something one or two sizes bigger. If you can still see plenty of soil and the rootball is fairly soft, then don't pot on yet.

Previous question
Did you acclimatise it by putting it out in the day and bringing it in at night for a week or so? We have had the odd frost up until now so it might have got too cold for it. How long has it been in that pot? Perhaps it's time for a bigger one.
