Courgettes. I have several plants that appear to be strong and healthy but are producing a very little crop. Some of the flower stalks seem to die off rather than bearing courgettes. They are in a good deep well mucked bed and kept amply watered. What am I doing wrong? Apart from the courgettes and indoor tomatoes the rest of the vegetable patch is good!

Ok , I thought they would appreciate a well mucked plot! Thanks

The fruit free stalks are male flowers.
Courgettes like to be kept rather short of nutrients to crop well, in my experience. Our 1 plant produces 2 fruits every other day !
