Whats the best way to remove a tree stump?
Just to have it leveled off with the lawn would be ideal as i plan to place a a wooden planter on top.... thank you in advance!

If you are planning on putting a planter on top of the stump the yes, just having levelled off with the lawn 'should' be fine unless it is the stump of a tree that is going to throw up suckers.

You need someone with a chainsaw or an electric circular saw - but most trees, unless they were dead when felled, regrow from the base or off the roots, so best to treat the remains of the stump after its sawn down with SBK, a brushwood killer, to ensure it doesn't grow again.

Do you want to REMOVE the stump, or level it off? You can't do both. You can hire somebody to grind it out with a giant rotary saw. Then fill the hole with topsoil to plant something; or lay a piece of flagstone upon which to set a planter...
