I have a Cherry Laurel or is it a Holly!!

I have a Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus ) which I have grown for many years as a tree. It is now approx 3m high. Whilst lopping some branches at head height, I noticed that some of the normal Laurel leaves were not smooth edged, but resembled holly leaves. As shown in the photos, both styles are on a single branch and this is not a holly which is using the Prunus as a host.

Hi, welcome to GoY, if this was a prunus laurocerasus, and you've had it many years, it would be very much taller than 3 metres, it's a holly, they can get pretty tall as well, just not as quickly as a laurel, Derek.

That isn't a cherry laurel it is a holly, not all holly leaves are prickles on them.
