Just about to plant Veitch Boskoop at a stone wall,
how do I attach it to the wall from day one to get it established

On plant Parthenocissus tricuspidata

I'd be tempted to put wires on to the wall so the plant can be tied to it with soft twine until it becomes self clinging.

I've just read.......It is a brilliant, climbing plant that does not need to be trained as its strong aerial roots cling firmly to walls and fences.

Hey! Veitch is my Maiden Name LOL

If it doesn't start clinging after the first year, I would prune it back hard and feed it lightly in early spring, and the vigorous new growth should stick nicely.

How do I say thanks?
