I have some Mums that are getting rather tall and don't have many branches. Should I cut them back please ? Will they regrow by their flowering time ?

Cut off the top third. They won't start setting flower buds until mid July.

Yes, I do this every year with my mums and asters. Give them a trim. They will branch out, won't be floppy & grow more flowers.
