I have a yukka plant in a very large pot in my garden. Many of the centre leaves have died and others have large brown areas that look as though they are following. Being in Spain, the weather is predominantly very hot. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I could do to stop it.

It's unusual for the center leaves to die back like this, Grumman. Have you noticed any sign of pests, such as a sticky syrup on the leaves, or spots of white, sticky "wool" in the center?
