Vegetable protective netting

Hi, for the first time, this year I have started to grow a small range of vegetables (kale, broccoli, chard, chives, salad leaves) in a couple of newly built raised beds. I have covered both beds with netting/tunnels to keep away the birds etc. So here's the question: is there a point in the growing season where it becomes safe to take off the netting/tunnels or should they stay on, in full, until the veg is harvested?

I think chives are the only things in that list that something won't enjoy eating, between pigeons, slugs and caterpillars.
Though I haven't had anything eating chard come to think of it. Depends how high your tunnel is really - as you have it I would leave it on until the plants get too tall.

Try burying used tea bags around your veggies. They seem to repel a lot of critters. Coffee grounds work too at least for squirrels, possums & raccoon which is what I get.

If you have regular visits from wood pigeons to your garden then kale, broccoli and salad leaves would be at risk. I would keep them netted until semi-mature.
