does removing the flowers on potato plants improve the yield as they dont put energy into producing seed.?

Answers

Shouldn't think so. Potatoes are tubers not seeds, even though tubers are sold as seed potatoes. Never heard it suggested before. By the time the flowers appear the tubers should already be well grown.

Simple answer no, removing the flowers will have no effect what so ever. But is would be a fiddly time consuming job!

I agree. I never cut the flowers or heard of anyone else doing it.
