In Scotland I had beautiful Shasta daisies last year. This year there are buds on the plant but none are developing beyond a very small bud. I'd appreciate any ideas?

You don't say where you are in Scotland, whilst we had a short spell of hot dry weather the past two weeks tend to have been cold, wet and windy not an environment to encourage the plants to come into flower...

Seasons vary an you'll probably find that the flowers will open in their own good time.
