Can anyone identify this self set wild flower? It is about 3ft tall and flowers on each branch. I have seen the same plant growing alongside local small waterways.
Thanks for all those who answered my question on dropping. The general consensus was hedgehog.

Pretty sure its Great Willowherb, Epilobium hirsutum.The only other one that tall is Rosebay Willowherb and it isn't that.

yes its great willow herb. Epilobium hirsutum, likes dampish conditions on chalky/lime soils. one of my favourite wild flowers from childhood. produces a thistle down type seed so it seeds around very freely. bees and hover flies like it a lot.
