My geums are coming to the end of flowering. I'm cutting the flowering stalks right down as they stop producing, but should I also cut the foliage right back. Last winter the Mrs Bradshore ones died right back but the orange one has had flowers both summer and winter for a couple of years now and the foliage doesn't die off as I expected it to. They've all flowered lovely this summer.

I don't think you should cut off the foliage. I've given my orange one a feed to encourage it to continue flowering for a bit longer, it's still only July, so why should they stop?

Thank you for the advice. I'll give them all a liquid feed and see what happens.

How do I say thanks?
