I trust for your sake you don't get Japanese Knotweed, this is an invasive weed and once you have is almost impossible to eradicate, take a look at

What makes you think it is going to be your next noxious weed or are you just feeling gloomy today?

Well M, my wife used to say bad things always happen in threes. ( not that I really believe it )
But the bindweed is now mostly in the green bin which is 1/3 full ? And I'm still pulling up horsetails every day.

But good things also happen in threes, Hank.

I don't buy that good or bad things happen in threes, they just happen.

Just a few suggestions: Couch grass, rabbits, badgers, vandals, hornets...Best just count your blessings!

Lol! Stera....vandals....Hank, can you imagine walking out into the garden one fine day only to encounter a Viking swinging away with a battle ax at your Fushias? Things aren't that bad after all are they?

Not really L, but it's a bit of a struggle out there when things don't work out as expected. I lived here for about 35 years with no real garden problems, ( wife did it all ! ) then all of a sudden I take over and have horsetail and bindweed. Perhaps I deserved it.

I will paraphrase Shakespear Hank. Good things arrive one at a time whereas trouble comes in legions. From " Hamlet"
