They are both hibiscus shrubs. The one on the right is probably the variety 'Bluebird.'

Here in the US they are called 'Rose of Sharon' and it's really a hardy hibiscus.

Welcome to GoY Sharon! In the carribean you are used to the tropical hibiscus, in hotter shades, which is probably why you didn’t recognise this beauty.....don’t be waiting for the humming birds to visit it though! ? Watching the humming birds feeding on Hibiscus flowers is one of my favourite things about being on holiday in the Caribbean....happy memories.
