This is also feedback-with thanks, two years on! I did replant the Tamarisk Ramossissima, pruning it appropriately but it once again failed to flower. I then decided to leave it just to grow for an entire season & now attach a picture of how it is looking the evening of 25 July 2017...
Now I am wondering whether / how much to prune it after flowering! It does not need to spread hugely as is evidenced in the photo, but I do hope to maintain successive flowering!

This particular variety is pruned in spring, when you cut back flowered stems to one or two buds, and remove any dead or diseased wood. Information on pruning late summer flowering shrubs here
