Why has my "strawberries and cream "Hydrangea (pale pink and white ) only produced Cream flowers this year? It was given quite a harsh pruning this year as it was quite straggly and tall . Its still fairly tall and a lovely shape with lots of blooms but no sign of ANY pink !

Hi welcome to GOY.
I have seen a Hydrangea Paniculata called 'Strawberries & Cream' it produces cone shaped flowers which start off white & turn pink as they get older. Could it be this one?
As Bamboo says it would be useful to see a pic of yours.

Well I'm confused - Hydrangea Strawberries and Cream has rosy red flowers round the outside with cream in the middle and is a lacecap variety. There's a hydrangea paniculata that produces cone shaped flowers which are pale pink and white , called Hydrangea vanilla fraise. Of these, neither sounds like yours - can you post a photograph please?
