Plum Tree......Can anyone advise what may be happening to our plum tree, it`s about 4 years old. The fruiting branches are dying back and have had to be cut out. Apologies , the photos are sideways on.

are there any weeping/gummy areas on the trunk?
the leaves don't look too unhealthy. has it suffered from greenfly or any other bugs?
