I have had these two fruit trees for about seven years now and to date both have been fruitless, this year the cherry tree has a couple of very small cherries on it but the pear tree is as fruitless as ever.
I don't know the variety as they were given to me by a neighbor who has since moved away.
Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi, welcome to Goy,
I'd add that in the case of the cherry tree, again without knowing the variety it could be an ornamental type which is grown purely for the blossom in spring & would only produce small fruit.

Not knowing the variety of you trees make the answer quite difficult. You need to know if they in fact produce blossom and perhaps it is burnt off by early frosts or they just don't blossom. It could be perhaps in the case of the pear that it might be something like Doyenné du Comice, which would need another pollinator to produce fruit. But at the end of the day, if after seven years of non-production of fruit, I would cut them down and look for new trees in your garden, varieties which would be suitable for your area.
