Would you recommend growing a "Rambling Rector" Rose up an Oak tree

Well - a mature or semi-mature tree would certainly support its rampant growth and weight, but I'm wondering about the dense canopy of leaves that an oak has? Would the rose get enough sun there?
I've seen them grown over and up smaller trees like mature fruit trees such as apples...
