Hello all,
I've been gifted this tree at the weekend by a friend who thinks it's either a plum or apricot bush/tree. Does it look familiar to anybody and what would be a plan of care for it?

Whatever fruit tree this is, the pot is way too small & shallow. I would advise to plant it in the ground asap or a very large tub of some sort with lots of compost & amendments.

Splendid, will plant it with a wholesome meal of nutrients. Thank you both.

Not too strong, though! Heavy fertilizer on a newly planted plant can burn it badly. Better to use potting compost and a small amount of organic food in a tub, or a moderate amount of garden compost, well mixed with the natural soil, in a generous planting hole, in the ground.

It looks like one of the many kinds of European plum (Prunus domestica). Difficult to be more specific than that, though. It does look like it has a manganese and iron deficiency.
