Monarda Pink Lace query.
Planted this Monarda in Spring. Tidying up the borders today and was about to pull out some, what looked at first like, weeds. However am concerned it might be some new growth from the Monarda?

I have one that seems to shoot from root runs underground and yours looks similar to mine the leaf looks the same as the main plant.

yes it is new growth. to be 100% certain it will smell just like the other foliage. they do tend to 'creep'.

Smells lemony, leaves are the same and stalks are square - so just as well I didn't pull them up. Thanks all.

Certainly looks like new growth. Can you compare the leaves to the older growth, not the colour but the veining on the leaves. Also Monarda have square stems, do these growths have square stems?
