And, why would you want to grow an bulb in a kilner jar? Pot or container but a kilner jar?

Unlike Hyacinths and Narcissus, Tulips won't grow in a container without drainage, anyway. You would need to drill holes in the bottom of the jar and fill it with potting compost--maybe not the effect you were thinking of.

Bulbs grown indoors to flower by Christmas or spring are prepared bulbs, and the range does not include tulips, there's narcissus, hyacinth and amaryllis, so that's probably why you can't find any instructions. The tulips will need cold in order to grow and flower next year, and they won't get that indoors. You can pot up a couple and move them indoors when they start flowering next spring, if you want.
