The established Fatsia Japonica in my garden appears to be dying - the leaves are wilting, turning yellow then black. I can't see any new growth and it looks very unhealthy. It seemed fine, but a few months ago I tried to cut it back and I think that's when the problems started.

Where about do the leaves die from? If it's the outside leaves that turn yellow and then black this often happens and can just be natural. If it's on the existing growth then could be something like phytophthora, then that can be terminal. Give it a little longer and if no new growth occurs then bag it up and in the rubbish bin with it.
