Can anyone identify this plant? Its a useful, good-natured, hardy, geranium-sized perennial.

I reckon your plant is Teucrium scorodonia 'Crispum Marginata'. What a mouthful, eh?
You'll be relieved to hear that it isn't Jap. Knotweed - I know from experience what that nasty looks like!
