hi all
can anyone please tell me what this is(see pic) all we know is it can only be a seed growing from our parrot cage as were its growing and were the cage stands in summer. i aint a clue to be honest. not really green fingered so im more intrigued then anything else. not sure if it can be eated or not. thanks in advance for any info

It looks like some kind of melon or squash but there are other members on here who will be sure to know what it is.

Curcubit of some sort, probably a squash or gourd... no idea if its edible either.

Probably one of the many pumpkin varieties that produce hulless seeds--most of them have stripes.
