Not quite sure of pruning my Prince Charles Clematis it is Summer Flowering not sure if it is group 2 or 3.Brown and unsightly on the fence now but don't want to prune it back
too soon if it affects the flowering. Been such a horrid Autumn with all the hurricanes garden looking a bit bedraggled!

It's a prune group 3 type, which means cutting down to about 8 inches in winter (January/February) but by mid February at the latest. If they are horribly brown and nasty looking, I've done them in December, if they're visible from the windows.

Many thanks, much appreciated, I had it all on my fingertips but age is helping my forgettery!!!! and there are so many clematis these days not everyone has a label with their group number on. Thanks.
