Do you know what this plant is called please? We used to call it Nutta in Jamaica (patwa) and use it as a food colouring also for seasoning in fish or Run Down. Been living in the UK for 18 years now so I am trying to trace it. Do you know of any other name or info for it please.
I wonder if anyone has a clue.
Thanks

Agree, probably annatto, or achiote - it has other common names such as lipstick tree, but its Latin or botanical name is Bixa orellana. Grows in tropical regions.

Could be Annatto!
Annatto is an orange-red condiment and food coloring derived from the seeds of the achiote tree. It is often used to impart a yellow or orange color to foods, but sometimes also for its flavor and aroma.
