it could be either or an aerial root. can you add a photo?
A keiki would be brilliant. Only ever seen once. usually my plants swollen parts turn out to be more aerial roots.

In time it will reveal itself - that's the fun in growing orchids. Just keep doing whatever you're doing to it.
