Soda crystals and moss (US members: this is washing soda not baking soda)
I usually use this for sweetening drains but on the packet it says you can get rid of moss on paths if you sprinkle it on, leave for a couple of days , and then brush off the moss. My mossy area slopes gently towards a lawn and we get lots of rain. Would the soda solution damage the grass?

Well it spreads where I'd rather it didn't, lol. Might try just a small area and see what happens.

I would expect so, though the damage may be less extensive and shorter-lived in your rainier climate, Stera. It may mean patch re-seeding next to the walk, though, if your turf isn't a spreading species.
