Planning a 'pebble' bed with a few ornamental grasses; it's in semi-shade. Probably needs a medium tone (not white or black), any suggestions would be great - thanks!

Oh sorry Bamboo - it’s the pebbles I’m having a problem deciding on. (Knoll gardens are sending me several sedges for semi-shade), but thank you anyway!

Sheila, I would pick one of the tones from your brickwork for the pebbles. I lean towards that darker accent colored brick you have in there but anyone would look fine.

That's a terrific idea Paul - thank you. I'm leaning towards something called "apricot" pebbles (a mixture of shades) so I'll take a brick with me to the store to see how they look together.

That sounds like fun Sheila. Now I'm looking at my own garden, hmm.

The gravel in our back garden (new) is Golden Quartz Sheila.

Hi Karen, is that sharp gravel or smooth? I haven’t heard of that one - are you pleased with it?

Its a smooth gravel Sheila and very pretty in sandy, pink, grey and white shades. Overall tone is golden.

Are you asking about the pebbles or the grasses? If the latter, bear in mind that grasses do best in full sun, so you would be better off looking at sedges rather than true grasses.
