After the first week in March I bought my usual packet of Gardener’s Delight tomatoes, marked Dec 2018 and set half a dozen every week but not one grew. Fortunately I had other kinds which came up as usual so I’m not without but wonder why this happened. I set them all in the same John Innes seed setting compost. I’ve just bought another packet from elsewhere, but still wonder. Has this happened to anyone else ?

Unusual for tomato seeds to have complete failure. If you grew other tomato seeds under the same conditions then perhaps the seeds were duff. Just send the empty packet back to the company and I'm sure they will send a replacement. My old dad always kept the old seed packets for that reason.

Thanks guys. . Sadly I didn’t keep the packet or the receipt but I certainly will next time.

I've never had it where ALL seeds from 1 lot failed, but I live in NY. Sounds like you have inferior seeds. I would take the seeds back and ask for replacement or your money back, bring receipt or credit card statement that shows proof of purchase.
