identification needed please
hi all,i just wondered if anyone knew what this bush is, its beautiful and belongs to a neighbour of mine, who asked if i could find out, we call it the pop corn bush but would to love to know the proper name of it,

thanks littlelegs i think you nailed it 1st time , its a
Kerria japonica Pleniflora and as you say bachelors buttons
I'm so happy to find out its name, i will tell her when i do a bit in her garden,

this can be a real nuisance because it spreads far and wide and is difficult to get rid of when it grows through other shrubs. It can also grow to 10' high. I would advise putting it in a big, bottomless pot sunk in the ground to contain it.

Looks like Kerria japonica . Also called bachelors buttons I believe.
