You can use the dried heads sprayed with eg gold paint for winter decoration. They used to be used for carding wool in the old days (ie teaseing it)

I've also used the seed head as body parts for hedgehogs when I had to make some Mrs Tiggywinkle for a craft fair.

I agree with the others. Teasel. The goldfinches love the seeds and they flowers attract the bees. They do self seed quite prolifically but I don't mind that as they are good architectural plants too.
