Hi guys
I'm hoping someone can help me out here identifying a mystery plant/shrub in my garden. Tried identification keys and photo id apps, but no luck so far..

Was hoping there would be flowers by now, but cant see any buds or flowers at all. The stem is speckled, the plant grows very fast and is about 2m by now, the leaves grow very large (20cm+?) and are simple/opposite/toothed.
It could be a vegetable/fruit tree, as I took over this garden recently...

Really curious since Ive searched all over the internet the past days.

Thank you so much for any input and time.

Looks like the common Elder (Sambucus nigra), serrated leaves and speckled stems, just a guess.

Think that's a good guess, stem and leaves definitely look like it. The size of the leaves though, confuses me, is it normal for them to grow that large on a small stem?

Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it. I tried looking it up with GardenAnswers but it didnt recognize the leaf as an elder.
