Hello, I'm looking for an evergreen climber that will cover a trellis quite quickly and screen a view year round. We live in southeast England. Any suggestions? It needs to be able to get going in partial shade. Thanks in advance for any advice!

There are many attractive variegated ivies which are not as rampant or invasive as the common ivy.

Clematis cirrhosa is evergreen and flowers in the late autumn early winter. there are several named varieties too. it grows fast too as I have it in partial shade and it is up to the chimney.
there are also evergreen honeysuckles but they are not fragrant in my experience.
