Your pear tree has had very dry times and when wet it is very wet receiving strong nitrogen. Make the most of the fruit you cannot repair, (cooking etc.). With the cracked branches, wrap them in sealglaze tape to keep the bark soft and the cracks will heal quickly that way. Take the tape off when frosts have finished next year.

If you mean they've split (photo would be good) and then have sort of corky areas where the splits happened, this is fruit split caused by irregular water supply - just means the tree didn't have enough water when the fruits were trying to grow, then, when water arrives, they swell rapidly, and the skin splits.
