Oh! I thought it was Enchanter's Nightshade. Maybe it's very similar in appearance. Whatever it is, I've got a lot of it this year and am waging war.

If it is Enchanters Nightshade it should pull up easily when the ground is not rock hard, and the top section of the rootroot is bright white. If you have a lot of it I'd side with you on this one.
