Hello. I want to take cuttings of a Weigela, how & when can I take them or is there a site that I can look at with a video, I tried Youtube but they only go on about pruning:o((

All I have ever done is to stick the prunings in a slit cut in the ground next to the shrub. Push the pieces down into the slit and forget about them. Most will root.

They are very easy to do, last year I took quite a few hard wood cuttings of weigelia Bristol ruby which are doing very well, and last July I took some semi ripe cuttings, these I left in our French garden in a shade situation where they had to fend for themselves, in November when we returned they had all taken.
