Its nearing the end of August , despite the tomato plants bent over with the wind and rain all of tomatoes are still green ,
Plus ive given up on the idea of picking them now and ripening them on the window sill.
Have any of you hot any other idea or do i carry on still persevereing and leave them on the plants and let the sun turn them red?

My outdoor toms are only turning red this last week Hijuju give it a bit longer if they are getting the sun? We have had such a miserable wet August here its really delayed some things

Personally, I have only had a few red ones, most are still green, about half had been destroyed by myself due to blossom end rot, which keeps reappearing despite my best efforts.
What I found strange was that 2 of my red tomatoes were green inside and tasted foul.

Alex as you probably know blossom and rot is down to uneven watering... Your green inside problem could be in part due to this too, along with the excessive heat you had earlier. Can also be down to a lack of feeding or not enough feeding.

Green tomato chutney? But I am surprised that in Essex your tomatoes are not ripening. Where do you have them Hijuju.
