A hardy fuschia bought recently was very badly damaged somehow and I do not think it it will survive, but went to the shop that had a few, and where I bought this one form, but coukdn't find anymore. Including 1 more shop and B&Q garden centre.

When are fuschias generally on sale, so I know when I can purchase one?

The dying one, was replacing a lovely fuschia that what looked like it was getting slowly strangled without my knowledge by a morning glory ipomoea. I didn't notice until too late. I tried to save it, and boy was it tangled up, but sadly it died.

Thanks in advance.

I think you can normally buy large fuchsias from the end of July onwards, smaller ones earlier. I'd have thought there might be some around still - in Nurseries? The Bath & West Show always has a stand of them - that's coming up very soon.

Luckily my local Wilkinson had a few young plants left. Most of them were a bit dead, but i looked just inside the door, and found a healthhy young Fuschia. Red flower with a purple centre.

It is a "Dollar Princess" Hardy bush fuschia.

I am so thankful they had some left.

If you have any friends with hardy fuchsias growing in their gardens now is an ideal time to take cuttings.
