No matter what I do, most of my green tomatoes seem to develop what I think is blossom end rot.
What can I do to stop this, and is it actually blossom end rot.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.

As Spritzh. says this is down to irregular watering. The only challenge we are having with our tomatoes is grazing snails!

It certainly looks like it, Alex. I'm afraid you can't do anything now - but next year, try to water the plants regularly, as irregular watering is the usual cause.
