How foolish of me....
I planted some seeds and didn’t label them! Doh! I thought they might be chilli pepper, but now they’ve developed some little tufty bits....can anyone id them for me please? I have included a couple of photos showing before and after the tufty bits arrived.

I thought it was basil but have never seen it flower. You can eat the flowers too but have a look at this link for more information. I imagine the tufty bits are the flower heads not yet open. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/basil/blooms-on-basil.htm

I always pinch off the flowers on my herbs and they bush out more. My coriander doesn't taste the same if it flowers.
