Sunflowers. My understanding is that sunflowers 'follow' the sun across the sky. Mine have gone shy and face east (towards sunrise) and away from the main garden but then the flower stays there and doesn't move, even when the flower opens to the south. Any ideas why this is happening.

Not all cultivars do 'track' the sun. I have 2 in a purple border [thanks squirrel!] one faces east the other south. neither move.
