In my rented cottage garden is a tree which this year is bearing lots of very small - ab out1 inch in diameter little fruits. They started out green and now are turning red, They have a plum like flesh and a central stone. In fact they are like miniature plums. Are these edible and what are they please?

Could they be Sloes from the Blackthorn tree Shirley? If so they will be black when ready to pick.

welcome to Goy. There have been several questions about this this year. from what i can remember they are edible though they may be tart. trawl back over the last 3/4 days for the identification.
