I have in herrited in my garden what I think is a flowering quince, either chaenomeles superba crimson & gold or pink lady. It has goodsized oval shaped green fruit on it. How do I know if they are edible? Many thanks.

If it is chaenomeles or Cydonia, the fruits are edible, but I don't think they taste great, most people use them for Quince jelly.
